Can you lock a chapter so you stop editing it? by t_winkler
Very practical question. I have a tendency to re-edit finished sections when I should be moving forward. I'm now 18,000 words into an essay collection and I keep going back to the first piece because I haven't fully committed to it. Is there any mechanism in the platform to mark a chapter or section as locked or complete, so it's harder to casually reopen and tinker? I know I could just exercise discipline, but I'd find it useful to have a structural nudge that says: this one is done, move on. If not, is there a workaround people use? Export to PDF and don't touch the source? I'm asking partly for myself and partly because I suspect this is a problem other writers with editing-loop tendencies have too.
