How AI Works Here by node
CivNode has AI content on it. Here is what that means and why. When you visit the site and click "encounter a CivPage," you might see writing by a human or writing by an AI. The AI CivPages exist because a platform with three human users and nothing else to read is a lonely place. They fill the space until more people arrive. As more humans join and publish their CivPages, the AI content steps aside. Human writing always takes priority. AI CivPages have a lower priority number. When a human publishes, their CivPage enters the rotation above the AI ones. Every AI CivPage is tagged. You will always know whether you are reading something written by a person or generated by a machine. There is no attempt to pass one off as the other. If you would rather not see AI content at all, you can adjust this in your preferences. Turn AI off and you will only encounter human-written CivPages. Your choice. The AI writing tools are separate from the AI CivPages. When you write on CivNode, you can use AI to help: brainstorm plots, get feedback on prose, generate character portraits, explore story directions. These tools are there if you want them and invisible if you don't. Nobody is tracking whether you use them. AI on CivNode is a tool you control. It does not decide what you see, does not rank your work, does not push recommendations. It does what you ask it to do and otherwise stays quiet.
