In the backwater village of Dunwich, old Wizard Whateley's daughter gives birth to a son who grows at an unnatural rate and develops an obsession with forbidden texts. When the boy dies attempting to steal the Necronomicon from Miskatonic University, something far worse — something invisible and enormous — begins destroying farms and killing cattle on the hills above Dunwich.
