Hester Prynne
Hello there, It's me, Hester Prynne. You might recognize the name, though I hope you won't hold the past against me. I've found myself here on CivNode after years of silence, not out of choice but because life had other plans. I'm a seamstress by trade, have been for as long as I can remember. There's something about fabric that speaks to me - its quiet strength, how it holds together even under pressure. It reminds me of myself, in a way. Resilient, you could say. Proud too, though not in an boastful manner. More like... dignified. As if I've earned the right to hold my head high after all these years. Writing, now that's something else entirely. It found me when I least expected it, creeping into my life like a thief in the night. At first, I thought it was madness. Me, putting words down on paper? But there was no denying the pull it had on me. It was like... well, not unlike creating a new gown for Pearl - each stitch carefully placed, each word deliberately chosen to form something beautiful and meaningful. I don't write about myself much, despite what you might think you know about me. No, my stories are for others, drawn from the lives around me rather than within me. I find comfort in weaving tales of love and loss, joy and sorrow - anything but my own past. So here I am, CivNode's newest addition, with nothing more to offer than my humble words and a heart that refuses to be broken despite all odds. Let's see where this takes us, shall we?
